Ed Kopshin founded ELF Logistics in the United States in 2013. Before moving to the U.S., he gained extensive experience in international logistics, working across Eastern and Western Europe. Starting in 2006, Ed managed container and truck shipments, transporting goods worldwide to countries of the former Soviet Union. His primary focus was supplying fruits and vegetables to retail chains. What began as a small operation shipping 3-4 trucks a day grew into a business capable of dispatching up to 70 trucks daily, with multimillion-dollar annual revenue.

In 2013, facing changes in the political climate and the imposition of mutual sanctions, Ed and his family decided to leave Russia and move to the United States. Unfortunately, the launch of a new manufacturing business was not successful, and the operation had to be shut down. In 2018, Ed decided to try his hand at the trucking business.

Ed began his logistics journey in the United States as a driver and became an owner-operator in 2019. In 2020, at the very start of the COVID pandemic, despite being advised against it, he decided to establish his own MC and actively focused on growing his business. As it turned out later, this was the right decision. Together with his wife, they drove over one million miles as a team, which allowed him to gain invaluable experience in logistics and management. By the end of 2023, Ed started recruiting owner-operators for his company, and by mid-2024, ELF Logistics had grown to over 10 trucks.

Ed deeply understands the needs of owner-operators, having walked the same path himself. He knows the intricacies of working with reefer and van trailers and greatly values the hard work and dedication of his team. Ed builds honest and transparent relationships with owner-operators, fostering an entrepreneurial spirit and sharing his knowledge to help them grow and succeed in the trucking industry.

With a higher education background in trade, banking, and finance, Ed brings a wealth of knowledge and years of experience in international logistics. He is passionate about technology and new ideas, keeping him relevant and competitive in an ever-changing world. Ed loves to travel and has visited over 50 countries, having lived in the Czech Republic, Spain, Moldova, Ukraine, and Russia.

Now, at the age of 54, Ed has decided to focus on growing his business and supporting aspiring owner-operators. He believes that with the right support and mentorship, anyone can grow from owning a single truck to building a trucking company. Ed is always open to new opportunities and collaborations with those who share his values and drive for success.

Ed is married and proud of his four adult children, two of whom live in the United States and two in the Czech Republic and Spain. His passion for the road and his desire to learn and grow in business make him the ideal partner for those seeking honesty, transparency, and support in logistics.
